The California Lock Staple Cutting System, also known as CAL-STAP, is a high-security staple system developed by DARPA as an anti-attachment barrier for aircraft. The system consists of a set of Locks, Staple Gun, and a master key with combinations that allow removal of staples from aircraft seats or luggage locks. The original patent was registered with the USPTO on 12 November 1988.
